The 7 Seven Pillars Of Newsworthiness

News is made up from 7 pillars: impact, timeliness, prominence, proximity, bizarreness, conflict, and currency. Impact is when the lives of people may be influenced. A example would be the war against ISIS. Timeliness is how recent events have more value than news from the past. A example would be when Donald Trump was elected. Prominence is when society only matters if something it happens to someone who has more importance than others. A example would be when Kim Jong Un crossed the border. Proximity is the nearness of space, time, and relationships. A example would be when Hurricane Lane hit Hawaii. Bizarreness means very strange or unusual. A example would be when there use to be killer clowns on the news. Conflict is a serious disagreement or argument. A good example of conflict would be Logan Paul and KSI. Currency is more value is attributed to story pertaining to issues or topic in the spotlight. A good example of currency would be Jake Paul punching Deji in the face.
